OnePlus 2 price drop – ‘flagship killer’ is now even cheaper
The OnePlus 2 now has a £249 price tag
The OnePlus 2 has long been regarded as one of the best budget smartphones money can buy.
Now the Chinese firm behind the brand have revealed their "flagship killer" is getting a permanent price cut.
The 64GB version of the OnePlus 2 was £289 but from today it'll land in your pocket for just £249 – a saving of £40.
Express.co.uk reviewed this cut-priced device last year and were left mightily impressed by what it has to offer.
For less than £250 smartphone users are treated to a 5.5 inch full HD display, fast Qualcomm 810 processor and a massive 64GB of storage – four times as much as a standard 16GB iPhone.
Dubbed the "flagship killer" the OnePlus 2 features top end specs
For your family photos there's a 13-megapixel rear camera, which can shoot in 4K Ultra HD quality, and selfie addicts get a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper.
A fingerprint scanner and large 3,300 mAh battery are also squeezed inside the metal and plastic shell.
Sadly there's no Android Marshmallow just yet as the OnePlus runs on OxygenOS – a slightly-tweaked version of Google's Android 5.1, Lollipop.
The new mobile operating system was developed internally by OnePlus and offers "a refreshing take on the pure Android experience."
In our opinion the OnePlus 2 is without a doubt the best smartphone available in its unbelievably low price range.
It doesn't have the glamour of some of its flagship rivals but, at half the price of an iPhone and Galaxy S6, it's hard to fault it
